The lavender smell isn’t overwhelming, just a soft background that makes the whole thing feel more spa-like than clinical. I was surprised how smooth the 95% aloe vera base is, no tackiness at all, and a little goes a long way.
The aloe vera base is what sold me, and it does feel way gentler than other lubes I've tried. The lavender scent is noticeable but not overpowering, which is nice. Only wish the bottle had a pump instead of the flip cap, but that's a minor gripe.
